Program Rules

 The Teen Summer Reading Program is open to teens 13-17 who have a Rainbow City Public Library card in good standing.  Teens who do not meet the requirements for a free library card may be issued a library card by paying a $10.00 out-of-county fee (due on an annual basis).  To participate in the program you must fill out the Teen Summer Reading Program Application and return it to the library by Monday, June 30^th. 

Record the amount of TIME you spend reading RCPL books on your Metamorphosis reading log OR list the TITLES of RCPL books you read.  If you choose to keep track of the time you read, please mark one hexagon on your reading log for each 10 minutes you spend reading between May 12^th and July 30^th.   Audiobooks may not be counted.  Please list the total number of books you read at the bottom of your reading log.

You will earn a prize if you read at least 5 RCPL books or spend at least 10 hours reading between May 12^th and July 30^th.   Return your completed reading log to the circulation desk July 9-30 to receive your prize.
